NPM 6 in Vented Extruder with Beringer WRP12V pelletizer • 6 “ Vented barrel and 2 stage screw • Air Cooled Barrel • 8 barrel zones , 5 die and screen changer zones • Cal 900 Digital Temp Controllers • 30:1 L/D • Extruder just came out of service on Aug 18, 2020 • Running HDPE at a rate of 1200- 1700 lbs per hour depending on Melt Flow of Material. • Newly installed, less than 13 months ago, a new Westinghouse 3 phase AC motor with Teco AC drive installed, Main Motor is a Max-SE 3 phase induction 125 HP motor, 230/460 volt. • System includes, a large main feed hopper and one main colorant feeder with variable speed control, 8” Dia incline auger feeder with load hopper, being fed by a 3000 lb cap gaylord box dumper, Dual slide gate Hydraulic vertically mounted screen changer with hydraulic power unit. On the downstream the system includes, a Berringer WRP pelletizer, complete with spin away dryer and discharging onto a Witte pellet classifier .
